Race 1.
The Monday opener was won by Harold and Sandra Barroby's JERSEYS IMAGE ($18.50), who broke well and sat comfortably on the outside of the filly SHES ON FIRE through fractions of 22.70 and 46.77 while being well rationed by pilot Kuri Powell. The duo had lots left in the lane to get the victory for trainer Harold Barroby in 1:18.59. Russ and Lois Bennett's DYNAMITER was in a perfect striking position under Antonio Reyes, and was travelling well at the end, but the winner was too good. Don and Sue Danard's ENGLISH BAY TEDDY suffered from a wide trip and still ran on to be third.

The second of the day went to the Ironside Stables’ SHARPZAN ($5.10) under Amadeo Perez, who sat chilly on the outside of a slow pace (23.41, 47.33) then led the field into the stretch, briefly lost the lead but battled back gamely to win in 1:18.09 for trainer Rob VanOverschot. James Redekop and Stefan Ferrario's BROKE AN BROKEN ran too good to lose while racing in the three path the entire journey and just missed. Conrad Rozenek's MARYS TAPPIN SHOES leaned on the rail the entire trip and flew late to get the runner-up spot. Race 4.
The fourth race went to Jordan Froelich's IMA DAREDEVIL ($7.30), who broke on top and chose to settle in behind the speed before being produced three wide on the stretch turn by Silvino MOrales to grind out the victory in 1:18.42 for trainer Dino Condilenios. Tod Mountain Thoroughbreds’ KANDY KATIE was off a length slow, which is ended up costing her was she was hustled up to get the lead (23.23, 46.64) and was just reeled in late. Bulldog Bros. and Paul Lesmaurier’s ANIMA was sharp away from the gate, relaxed nicely by Jose Gomez to sit in the two path and stayed game to the wire to take third.
Race 5.
The fifth race of the day was a monster performance from Joy Cameron's JOSE JOSE ($7.90), who easily made the lead and set pedestrian splits of 23.54 and 47.69 before sprinting away under Kerron Khelawan to win by a decisive nine-length margin in 1:17.49 for trainer Rob Gilker. The Tod Mountain Thoroughbreds and James Redekop's BAK TO LIBERTY was fractious in the gate and, away a heartbeat slow, was pushed to sit second, where he stayed for the remainder of the race. Race 6.
The sixth on the card was taken by Russ and Lois Bennett's FREESTYLE ($7.30), who broke much better today and landed the front and after being confronted through fractions of 22.65 and 46.72 and just had enough to outlast a late challenge to win in 1:18.87 under Antonio Reyes for trainer Barbara Heads. Mount View Stables FANNY BAY ALI was brilliant in her debut as she rallied strongly closing into the slow pace made the lead in the stretch and was just beaten in closing stages in an impressive debut. Race 7.
The final event on the program went to Stan Sharma's VALUABLE COWBOY ($7.90), who led the field early through easy splits of 23.05 and 46.84 under Silvino Morales and had just enough left to hold off his rivals in 1:17.80 for trainer Brian O'Connell. The Hastings Horsepower and Minnaloushe Stables’ TIZ VICIOUS was sharp early and got into a nice position and had every shot to win but just missed by a scant nose under Learie Seecharan for conditioner David Milburn.
