Winners Bred in British Columbia
Another good week for horses bred in the Province, with no fewer than ten winners, including Hastings raider ITSMYDAY, who took down a Century Mile MSW at the second time of asking for trainer Rob VanOverschot.
COUNTERACT, meanwhile, became the first ever winner by Road’s End Farm’s first-season sire, Counterforce. The superbly-bred son of Smart Strike has seen a few of his offspring go close already this term and he finally got off the mark when the Mark Cloutier-trained youngster saw off the challenge of Filly Fatale to win a 3½-furlong dash with a little pizazz.
